“Haitian Pikliz is a mix of vegetables, cut using the julienne method (shredded into long, thin strips) and spiced up with hot Caribbean peppers. Think a spicy pickled slaw. It is usually eaten with bananes pesées (twice-fried plantains), griot and other fried meats.” – Annick Megie, Tchakayiti
